When do you think you will you have rates for the new longer range Soul and also the Kona?
We have had a chat with Kia and they are saying the end of the year just for New Soul EV pricing, but given the current delays they are unsure of delivery times as yet.

The Kona is looking to be a fair bit sooner, probably looking around May for pricing but we will likely know more after Geneva.

Drive electric has the leaf at £299 with almost 2k deposit, bit rich for me.
Got a bad feeling the Kona may be around the same.
Got a feeling you might be right, although if the residual values work out well it may be cheaper than we think. That being said the Soul EV does serve a purpose for being a more affordable EV for now

At that price it's cheaper to pch a soul and use the difference to rent cars when distance is needed. Not as convenient but then neither is sitting at a rapid for half an hour to get home.

I very, very nearly ordered a Soul recently from Jack. (if you're reading this, the email quote and forms you promised never made it for whatever reason).
Decided initially it was too big.
Went to drive one out of curiosity and then realised it would suit my needs after all.
But I just couldn't bring myself to order one- I'm sorry but it's just too ugly.
The Kona seems to have everything I want- looks, tech, range, not overly big.
For this I may decide to pay a slight premium, within reason.

I am shocked i tell you, shocked.

Here's a question for you though.
Lets say for sake of argument I am driving a hideously ugly blue car with a white roof.
You are nearby in your £100/month more costly, prettier car.

Who's seeing the ugly car and who's seeing the prettier one? :D

Hi Cheryl
Earlier this week I was offered a 4 yr PCH on a Tekna for £280 with £1684 up front. This was the cheapest I could find after extensive enquiries. The days of £219 a month and £219 deposit are long gone. Even Zoe’s are double the price of 2 years ago. Demand is now outstripping supply. I am told my Tekna will be 5 to 6 months to arrive. This is due to supply issues. Other models in the range do not have such a long wait time

Agreed. The Soul was my preferred choice due to price and the 2 year term. Effectively £249 a month for 8000 miles However my local Kia dealer does not deal with EVs. My nearest Kia EV dealer is 60 miles away , a 90 min drive. So quite an issue, especially for any warranty matters.

I fell back onto my choices 2 &3. Zoe for 3 years was £329 inc battery rental for 9000 miles a year on a PCP

But I’ve gone for a Leaf Tekna, with metallic paint, 10000 miles per year on a 4 year PCH. The effective payment including the upfront deposit is £312.50.

Far more kit than the Zoe and same 40kw battery. And you can now use the car to power your home overnight by using the new two way charging option. A great option if you have solar panels or economy 7.

The Soul would have been approx £265 for 10000 miles per year. Had the service/warranty not been an issue then despite the lower range I’m sure we would have been placing an order.

Hi there Cheryl,

I'm really sorry to hear to this and I apologize you didn't receive anything. I have checked the account manager on your record and it was one of my colleague's so I have had a word with him. If you require anything else in the future please just drop me a line and I will make sure you are given a good service from us. We will have some really good rates on the Kona when that arrives so please don't hesitate to get in touch. :)

I could literally be given one for nothing, I'd still think it's ugly.
I'd take it and drive it*, but that's not the point

*subject to my wife allowing it on the drive...which I'm not sure she would...honestly....

Well I returned to my Zoe yesterday and what should be parked next to her?
That's right, a white Soul dwarfing my little girl.
Glad I didn't order one now.
Jack no problems I did receive an email having checked that I must have missed, but nothing containing the promised forms.
No worries will wait for the Kona and be in touch.

I feel your pain - we went out in our new to us clean ampera (white with wrapped black roof and wheels) to a shop in the middle of nowhere, only to discover that the only other customers in the shop had parked their nice brand new white with dark sunroof and black 19" wheel Tesla P100D next to ours - talk about having your feet slammed back on the ground !!

Must be the height making it seem so, since its only 2 inches longer, and its less than 3 inches wider, than the Zoe.
The Kona is the same width as the Soul and 1 inch longer.
