Hi All, suddenly my e-C4 has the following message appear on my screen but I have not plugged anything in to upload any new software and lots of things are now unavailable - radio, reversing camera/beepers, sat nav, basically anything that the screen is used for, it has now been there for 2 days! The car still works and drives and I have contacted Citroen but they have asked to have a look at it but they have no space available for 10 days, so I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and if so how did they/Citroen resolve it?

I feel your pain! Out of interest, how many miles and what plate is yours please? Mine is a 70 plate, 21000 miles, just wondering if there is a pattern or something common happening to cars of a certain age/mileage?

The problem started at around 4pm-5pm on Monday and it seems there are others that have the same issue that started around the same time - this is more than a coincidence! When did yours start with this issue?

Well, maybe Stellantis has finally started to do OTA for the infotainment?
I mean theoretically it's possible on most of thier models since they have an eSim onboard for app connectivity.

My only other speculation (far fetched) is that someone had hacked the Stellantis servers and is trying to upload malicious firmware to our cars.

Given the PSA/Stellantis record for bad/ buggy software, I'm not surprised it's stuck like that.
But it may just take a while since downloading the few gigabytes of firmware via the eSim is probably slow as heck... Especially with the Stellantis servers, which are so slow even on a gigabit internet connection.

I don't recall that exact message being displayed when manually upping the infotainment. IIRC, it didn't say "on demand", which I'm guessing is thier way to say "remotely".

Our 21 plate with 11k on the clock did the same yesterday. Local dealer doesn't have space until mid April but they suggested calling citroen recovery or whatever it is because it will be covered under warranty but they told us it's not an emergency, go to your dealer! I came across another post online about people having problems with updates and that when it is in this state the car won't charge... anybody successfully charged while blue screen is on? That will become a problem if all our batteries go flat... and if the blue screen is on constantly won't that drain the 12v battery eventually?

You are right. This is my older screenshot from a standard USB stick update. No "on demand" wording there so it really points to possible OTA (either firmware/NAV or just TomTom navigation data stuck?)

I recently heard from a colleague who drives a 2022 Peugeot 308 plug-in hybrid that his car received an OTA update, which succeeded. It makes sense that also for recent e-C4s (the models with the upgraded infotainment), OTAs will take place. But given the Stellantis track record with (un)reliable software these problems are likely to occur.

I had similar issue yesterday and managed to get the car booked strait in to dealership, they have received 2 downloads from Citroen technical but neither have worked. They are hoping for more downloads tomorrow.

I have just updated to PSA_ovip-int-firmware-version_44-06-44-22_NAC-r0_NAC_EUR_WAVE4 and have had no issue so far. Is this what Stellantis meant by 'update to all owners'?
Does anyone here knows what has been updated? Normally software updates come with Release Notes (I know its not normal for car manufacturers to explain anything about software!) but maybe somebody has found out what is new ...

They never have nor probably ever will give any info as what any of the updates do. Over the last 18 months since getting both my e4c’s I have installed a few, experience is that we don’t see anything our side as drivers!
