Hi,

Hoping that someone has the answers to the following questions?

1) What size and type is the 12V Battery? AGM? Size in terms of dimensions (H,W,L) and capacity (Ah).
2) How and when is the 12V battery charged? From main car battery DC to DC? When the van is in a) Ready Mode b) Switched On c) Driving d) mixture

Afraid I can't answer specifically but EVs have a built in 400v DC to 12Vlv DC converter. On the Nissan LEAF it was capable of about 1500W, presumably for the A/C etc. It generally runs when the car is in ready mode / driving but I don't know if it can kick in at other times such as charging (since 12v system must be in use.

I'd be interested to know for either how big a 240v inverter could be used (and when it would work), or connecting a DC to DC converter to charge a leisure battery...
