Latest software is available via torrent file here:

Yes that seems to work and it started downloading successfully. I wonder if torrent files work more reliably than magnet links? Can you try this torrent file?

I have only had my car for 3 weeks and today it went in for an update, thinking this would be related to the entertainment, new maps etc. But the dealer said I already had the latest version, the update applied was to do with the charging unit.

The software and firmware are as per the below

138365

This still has the 3 screens that split on the home page, I thought the newer version this is no longer the case and the app/logo are now purple in colour, whereas mine are still white.

Has anyone who has received their new e-Niro 4+ able to attach their version info, as I am pretty sure there is an update but the dealer in Northampton swears blind this is the latest version, I’m guessing they may have not downloaded the latest firmware update themselves, but I could be wrong. ;)

Email them the photo as proof. They didn’t do mine prior to pickup even though I requested it, had to go back.
Same here, but still insisted I had the latest version, all they updated was the recall to do with the 3-phase charger, let’s hope this get sorted during next week. Who was your dealer, mine was Kia Northampton, although it came from Kia Stoneacre in Lincoln, it’s a lease car, not my choice as I was dealing with a dealer in Leicester near where I work.

I forgot to mention, did this update also update the maps, or did these remain the same, as this is not shown in your picture.

I even told them to ensure they included the 3-phase charger before they delivered it, that never worked neither as it came with the standard 1-phase, again I'm still waiting for this to be replaced.

Thank you for posting this. I am due to collect my e-Niro 4+ YB in a few days time. I have emailed the dealer and asked them to update the software using your screenshots.

I hope I am correct, I told them:

The old software number is DE_E_20_EUR_SSW__L.001.001.191204
The new software number is DE_E_20_EUR_SSW__L.001.001.200923

I had done the same as you, but when I got mine delivered less then 3 weeks ago I had the old software, I even mentioned to them to please ensure I receive the 3-phase cable, I didn’t get neither of these.

Not a happy chappy, car even went in today to get this updated and still insisted I had the latest software although I showed them screenshots to prove otherwise.

I do hope you get a better response from your dealer.

I picked mine up on Tuesday but only got a standard charge cable and the 3 pin trickle charger. Is there a 3rd cable?

On the 4+ you should be getting the granny charger (3 pin socket) and a 3-phase cable, most people are receiving the 1-phase cable which is incorrect.

I had mine updated this week, after a bit of back-and-forth.
However, I think the issue may stem from the language. The car seems to have its own software, separate to the infotainment systems. When I asked if the car software was up to date, they said "yes, but the head unit (infotainment system) may also need updating".
I'm very surprised that the car seems to have two sets of software, so either this is true, or it's the dealers screw up.

Thank you, mine says type 3 cable on it so I’m assuming that’s the 3 phase. I have a 22kw 3 phase charger I can use at work. It seems the e-Niro will only charge at 11kw according to some info I’ve found though. Any ideas on that please?

Cable needs to be As photo for use with 3 phase.

Sounds like the "Software" and "Firmware" are coming separately packaged, although installation of both would be via the usb port

Hi.

I'm in the UK and have a '4' that was delivered in early October and it is running .191204.

It seems from reading above that I can't update the firmware myself - the update button is greyed out. Instead I have to book in with a Kia dealer (having checked that they believe my car does need an update).

Mine is a lease car through a third party so I have no relationship with a dealer.

Is there a way to update myself?

Thanks

No. You can convince a dealer to do it for free, convince your leasing company to pay for an update, or wait for the 1 year service and get it updated then.
