They have changed the default colour from "silky silver" to "runway red". The one I have on order for ETA end of July will be this colour, but I only heard that yesterday. Previously the dealer thought it would be the silver. Web sites are not up to date yet. A Google image search for e-niro runway red will shows you plenty of examples.

very, VERY annoying 😡. Red would have been my colour choice. My dealer (who was useless in all other aspects of the purchase experience) assured me that they didn't manufacture red e-Niros, only the hybrid and wouldn't be doing so at any time in the future.😤🤬

Any idea on if they have changed anything else or only that? Apparently the Red is a Solid Red so not a metallic colour? When I spoke to the dealer they also said Silky Silver would be the default colour so they didn’t seem to know either.

At last, someone at Kia UK has seen the light. Red was always available in other markets, and for the hybrid.

Darn - the silky silver colour turned out to be the worst feature of the car! Would love a red car!! Looks like a courtesy car or long term hire in silver!
Yes, I'm quite pleased with the unexpected upgrade on mine. That said, if I wanted / had the opportunity to pay for a custom colour I think I'd have chosen the pearl white.

It wasn't for us to choose really either - the wife's lease car scheme at work is at risk with all the COVID-cutbacks so we didn't want to pay a premium up-front, just for a colour, for someone else to benefit from if we needed to return the car within the first 6 months.

I do quite like the car in blue or dark grey. Also, the turquoise highlights do a lot to the car's look in my opinion. They subtly say hey, I'm electric to those in the know.

My PHEV is red, not sure if it's Runway red, but that does ring a bell. FWIW it is a metallic colour and is quite nice IMO. It was certainly the nicest colour available at the time I got my car anyway.
