EDAR from Heat Remote Sensing seems to be a very promising solution to policing Emission Free Zones.
This is good because it would Allow RE-EV's to access ZEZ's in Electric mode. (and could issue fines for running an engine!) rather than the Zones being for EV only.

The Exhaust Plume Images offer very impressive clarity..
@Simon Mac I'd be surprised if a Pay-to-Emit Zone has not already crossed Nottingham councils 'mind', as a way to make more money from motorists... (they probably won't do it though because they wouldn't earn anything from EV drivers!)
