We have several Engie charging points in the area which provide free charging. They do seem, though, to be not very dependable with the CCS option dropping the charge at random. Charging from 30% to 80% this afternoon needed three retries.

Happy to have free charging but has anyone had a similar experience with Engie?

Have you looked on Zap Map and Plugshare comments at the locations you tried to see if others are having the same issues or if it is just you/your car? I Personally find Engie/Genie's EVBox rapid chargers to be quite reliable and have never had a charge session end prematurely on any of the ones I have used, with CCS or otherwise.

Others are having issues. I wondered to what extent ID3 owners were represented.
