Hi All,
After some great advice on this site I have now plugged in my ZS via the granny charger with a timer switch to find no problem with car waking up for a charge after two hours. Using my EO Smart Home charger if I set a schedule charge for more than about 10 minutes time then the car does not seem to wake up for the charge, even though the app suggests charging has started.
Anyone else got an EO charger with this problem or is yours working fine on a schedule charge?

When I plug my car into my Ohme and lock the doors, and the charge is scheduled for a few hours hence, the dash shows "connected but not charging" and the Ohme shows the time symbol.

on the EO, what do you see when you connect the car but charging hasn't started?

Paul,

The same, connected but not charging and app shows planned schedule charging. It will start charging as long as you want it to start in less than about 10 minutes, but that's not overly useful!😁

I think that's a bug with the EO MINI.
The Smart Home app isn't (smart).
I use the car to set the charging schedule and it works without any problems.

The issue has been resolved (sort of). EO have adapted my charger to keep 1 volt running through data cable to keep the ZS EV awake. It now works but as you suggest i have found the rest of the system also quite unreliable, constantly dropping off line. Am getting a unit change to an updated one, so hopefully reliability will improve.

Interesting to read this about the EO smart charger.... I had various problems trying to charge my kona. I’m now on my third sd card replacement and it still keeps loosing WiFi (the hub is close) so I have to reboot the whole thing. If I pause solar charging and then restart it, the charger says it’s on solar charging but puts 7kw into the car. It’s turning out to be a real pain of a charger.... loosing confidence in the thing!

I was about to book in an engineer appointment to replace the SD card for the third time but found that by unplugging the wifi extender (3 pin plug device into mains house power) brought everything back on line!

On FB some power line WiFi extenders have proved to be the issue and it is one of the first things people suggest you unplug them if people are having trouble charging their MG. Switching them off will often let the MG charge without issue. The power line adaptors apparently cause a lot of noise which upsets a lot of chargers, mainly Rolec on FB

Thanks, didn't realise that and depressingly it has taken us quite a long time to work this out!🙄
