My EVSE failed in a rather strange way.

The lights at the top are normally green. The right one went out once the unit had initialised. Then if I changed the charge rate it flashed erratically! Weird.

Took it to my dealer and they replaced it without question there and then with a new one.

Dave that's awful. Do you leave it out in the open a lot? I often leave mine out overnight... you have to if you don't have a garage don't you. They should be able to cope with being left out regularly I guess.

I did call them a couple of days before taking it in but they didn't say they would change it... just test it and check it out. They must have got one in speculatively just in case I suppose :)

I sometimes get the red flashing light. It usually happens if I've stopped the charge before complete and then plugged back in after a short drive. Switching the car on then off is the cure.

My first EVSE failed 2 days after the 12 months, but I did modify it. Nevertheless the failure is not related to the mod...
