The Polar rapid chargers at Lancaster Park and Ride, just off the M6, are fantastic and really useful.

However, I am sure that anyone who has used them will be aware of the lack of toilet facilities.

I put a comment on the Lancashire County Council Facebook Page and have just had this reply. I thought maybe a few more comments may focus their minds.

Reminds me of the American standup comedian who was out driving. He kept seeing picnic areas without loos. Of course, you're always desperate for a picnic! :)

Come on. We all know that Councils are incapable of joined-up thinking. Why is this a surprise?

But there are a couple of hotels quite close by and a pub about 500 yards towards Lancaster. Also as its a park n ride there are regular buses into the city for food and loos. An hour round trip would see you refreshed and topped up.

In emergency the River Lune is a few yards away and has a well wooded walkway:)

As for refreshments, would it kill the council to make a little money by licensing a burger van or other food truck to work there?
Doing that might even pay for a portaloo for the food truck's patrons!
