This may have been raised before but why does the fan sometimes operate whilst plugged in and charging? I have just been out and it is whirring away. I know it's been warm recently but I got home 3 hours ago so it can't be still cooling from then.

The car is just keeping things cool by pushing coolant round and running the fan. Lots of bits need cooling while charging when the weather is warm, including the battery modules and inverter. Mine does it all the time in the sort of weather we've had recently. The Ampera design includes a lot of temperature management of various components.
