Can anybody tell me what the latest software and map versions are please. Trying up update mine but says I have latest versions, but not updated for a year, so thought the versions I have downloaded from fb group would be a update for mine.

The software on my FE, installed about a year ago, is as shown below. I haven't heard of any more recent versions.

There's a September 2020 update for the older "5.0" Hyundai headunits, which is also what the FE e-Niro uses. Check the Hyundai forums.

Hi Richard, this is my FE registered Feb 2020. First service in Jan 21. No update by dealer. Same as before service. Latest software??!

This should be the update you need, worked on my wife's late 2018 i30, which has the same "gen 5" head unit. Ask there for confirmation or help.

The numbers on my version, installed from a download link posted on this forum about a year ago, all seem to be later. One of the more interesting changes was the ability to display the actual GPS speed on the map screen, top left below the speed limit. Settings> Navigation > Display > Information > Display vehicle speed. The original FE version did not have this.

The software update SD card after update preparation holds 7.23GB and the Maps SD card has around 18.4GB of files on it.

Then that's the end, hence it's most likely the very old original Fe system software.

It will be interesting to know if there is a later version than mine, and knew maps for 21. Let us know how you get on. I still have all the update on my laptop.

This is the version that was installed on mine at the service by the local dealer.

I already had updated mine previously using the downloads from this forum last year and used a blank sd card so if the download was duff I could pop the old kia sd card back in. As the update was successfull I just left the new sd card with the new maps in the infotainment unit as you need to do this for the maps to work

So I was surprised when the dealer told me the he was not going to give me the update because there was a "non genuine" kia sd card in the infotainment slot. So how much does a new kia sd card cost I asked? They cost €300!!! So with that i told him the original sd card that came with the car was in the glove box....

So if you do a DIY upgrade make sure that you keep the original kia sd card in the car and dont throw it away. You will need it for your free map upgrade from kia later on.

That's really crap, the car came with the software, so it should clearly be "licensed" forever... sorry you went through this with the dealer...
