First hand London (weekend) charging experience?

Any tips and tricks for London (weekend) parking and charging? Wondering how realistic an option it is over taking a train down if and when I get the congestion charge exclusion thing sorted? Any tips for where to go and park/charge with a Polar/Chargemaster card, around the usual tourist bits in central London mostly?
