Certainly seems a good idea both from a pollution and a business point of view. I see so many drop drivers who start up their diesel van, clatter for 100m up the road in a stench of particulates, then ram it half up on the pavement and either leave it running (which is not only filthy but asking for enterprising crims to follow and nick it) or switch off whilst carrying a single parcel into the next address, then repeat this process all day, often with interludes of doing double the speed limit in residential streets and overtaking cyclists 2cm from the bars. I realise vans are built to take abuse but the amount of wear on the starters, drivetrain and the inefficiency of using up fossil fuel in this stop-start way must have dawned on at least one or two people who are paying for these vehicles.
