Hmmm....didn't seem sincere to me, more a sales drive taking advantage of the 2040 announcement.

How are Ford going to get their EU car average down to 95g/km by 2021? A lot of EU manufacturers are promoting hybrids, but Ford seem to be doing nothing? I guess there are others with a similar problem, ironically Vauxhall too?

The gall of the Ford guy on Radio 5 in response to the question about EV/hybrids, "Well, we make them but they're only 5% of the market so there's no demand for them."

Make something not utterly crap and there might be.

Although the new guy in charge of Ford seems keener on a focused (ba-doom-tish) approach to EVs than his predecessor.

Most 'proper' type 29 shells are actually standard shells with a few bits welded on and fingers crossed that the buyer won't know any different.

17 tonnes CO2e: Ford Mondeo, medium spec
scrapped at 7 instead average 12 years = 5 years extra manufactering CO2(~7.1 tons)
that means your new car needs to be 105g/km BETTER than your old car.

as stated the ford ka is 114g/km....what car is 219g/km?

Haven't you folks seen the 54kWh Fiesta?
Here's one charging by osmosis at Lidl.
The exhaust tail pipe is to do with the air conditioning and makes the car look more normal for drivers who prefer the ICE look rather than an EV look.

Seems crazy for the firm to highlight its deficiencies with regards to (not) having low/zero emission vehicles available to sell to replace its dirty diesels. They'd have been better keeping mum.
