Green parking permits

"A green parking permit is for ultra low-emission vehicles (ULEV). A ULEV is any electric or hybrid vehicle that emits less then 75g of carbon dioxide (CO2) per kilometre travelled, with a capability of travelling a minimum range of 10 miles with zero CO2 emissions.

A green permit allows you to park in pay and display bays on-street in the city centre, or in our city car parks.

The scheme is for anyone with an eligible vehicle, irrespective of home address."

Finally the scheme is in operation after few months delay (If we base it on the date that was announced).
Just got my free parking permit through email - no physical paper will be sent through post due to a new "virtual system".
Let's now hope wardens have the necessary training to read "electric" and relate it to "green".
As far as I am aware the permits can be used only at certain car parks - about to check this and update
when I have some more info...
Took about a week for it to come through.
