Front spoiler

Just read the latest update to the What Car fleet report on their Ampera, where mention is made of an alternative front spoiler which is now available. Apparently it is a little shallower than the standard one, and therefore doesn't scrape so much on speed bumps and the like. The article mentions a slight cost in terms of economy/range. Anyone else discussed this with their dealer?

I'm getting to know the places on my normal rounds where the spoiler catches, but it's not bothering me yet :)

This has been discussed a lot here. :)

It is noisy but that is all. I am completely used to it now.
Had the short front spoiler fitted today as the 2 year old factory fitted one kept coming apart.
Looks good, hopefully this one will not come apart with the reduced scraping.
I quite like the horrified looks it induces from pedestrians ;)

Do you have a ballpark figure for the shorter spoiler?
h8ten, I was charged £30.02 for the short spoiler + £37.15 fitting. Allow another £7 approx. on top of the £30.02 due to an under payment.
Have found that it sometimes scrapes but only over extreme humps.
Thanks Brian I will bear that in mind when one wears away.
