Hi all

slightly odd but have people tried driving the GTE in electric mode but the DSG in manual mode (paddles)?

Since you have no idea on the motor speed you have no idea when to change up whilst accelerating, or down when decelerating....

coming from an EV I miss the instant torque, but with the GTE you often have to wait for the DSG to downshift a few gears.

Ive had DSG before, and if you go into manual you can get that type of instant torque if your in manual mode but manual EV mode is quite odd.
Any thoughts from drivers who have tried it?

Yes. The only reason I've found for it is to downshift coming off a motorway or fast road - it gives you a low gear so you can proceed onto the roundabout/junction without delay, as you have otherwise slowed down in a high gear and the car isn't ready to provide immediate torque.
