When I test drove the Ampera Electron at Eden Vauxhall, it had guidinglines on the reversing camera. On my 2012my Positiv which I just taken a delivery of, the camera has no guide grid. On page 123 of the owners manual it describes how to turn them on, but when I try on mine under "config" "display" there's no Guiding lines option showing on the screen. I wonder if this is something which is applicable only in the 2013 model year cars?

My 2012 Volt has them but I have satnav etc so it might only be on the Electron. It IMO is no big loss, I feel they just confuse maters as they swing round far to much when steering

Yep, that's only on the upgraded satnav/infotainment system on the Electron.

I don't have them at all on my 2014 Ampera Positiv. I had a look in the configuration settings but they aren't an option on mine.

They are in the menu on the Positiv, but even when checked you don't get them

Not on mine either. May be a model year thing.
