I was charging at the Eastbound Fleet Ecotricity Rapid this afternoon when a HATO patrol pulled up and reversed into the adjacent bay. We got chatting and they said I was the first EV they'd seen actually using the chargers and they parked up there for their break on each shift.

They seemed genuinely interested in the tech, were amazed that the charger was free (I explained Ecotricity's support and the background).

I charge at these rapids most days as they're only a few mins from my house but I've only met two other users, one being Paul Churchely and the other Robert Shaw (@EGCTechnical) both were planned rendezvous.

That's a surprise as Fleet is 'key' for London to Soton/B'mth etc.
I've used in many times - but with no Fast Charge backup, I don't Iike to depend on it.
I have a major concern about low utilisation on the trunk network - it undermines the case for improved reliability/availability?
