I must be getting old as I am looking into getting a caravan. I would have to change my Model 3 for one with a tow bar. Before taking the plunge I'm interested in any experiences anyone has. It would be a small caravan because the towing capacity of the Model 3 is 1000 Kg.

Have you done the man-maths on this one?

Unless you’re into wife swapping I can’t see the return on investment. :)

You're looking at knocking 50% off your range, then the fun of unhitching the caravan at every supercharger on the route so you can back in to the space..

Bjorn did a test with a trailer.

This is absolutely something I’m looking to do. With a 2 berth caravan, you could have two sleeping in the car, and two in the ‘van (I’m thinking). Hoping to drop a deposit on a LR M3 soon, so weighing up whether to get the tow hitch too.
I saw this caravan (which would be perfect for us, I think) and it has a weight of 790kg unloaded:
