Hello!

I have just started as the Innovation Specialist at Desira Nissan in Norwich. If there are any LEAF owners in Norfolk who would like to get in touch the please do! New and existing customers are all welcomed and I will do my best to help as much as I can.

Hope to see and speak to some of you soon,

Alex

Welcome aboard Alex. Hope you sell lots of Leafs (and EV NV-200s)...

Try to cut down on the ICE, air pollution created on your side of the globe will make it to my side of the globe eventually.

Welcome Alex!

Am grateful to your dealership for their rapid charger - enabled me to make it from Shropshire to Norfolk last January to see friends. Peterborough to Norfolk is just doable on one charge it turns out....:)

May not be possible, but ease of access to the rapid would help - ie to Ecotricity card. The staff looked after me well but can take a while to access when they are busy with customers. 24 hour rapid in Norwich would really help. Glad to see the rapids coming through on the A14 as part of the Rapid Charge Network this year.

Have you heard anything about the network of electric vehicle chargers planned at most Norfolk Fire Service bases? Not heard anything since original announcement.

Thank you Dennis, we'll be doing our best thats for sure!

It's encouraging to see the charging network growing all the time, hopefully things will continue to come together and everyone can see the benefits of EV vehicles, particularly the LEAF though ;)!

I'm glad to hear we were a help to you! I haven't heard any more about the Norfolk Fire Station charging points either, I'll try to spend some time today to find some answers as I'm sure this would help a great number of people :)

I've spent the last few days trying to find out about the charging points at the fire stations...with no luck at all. I spoke to the fire service and nobody knew anything about the future plans for the charging points, other than there are 2 installed at the headquarters but these are not for public use.

Are there any EV owners who have any experiences with our public charging network in Norfolk and East Anglia?

Only know abot the Ecotricity Rapid at the Green Britain centre in Swaffham - mon to fri only. And some Zero Carbon World posts at b and b's etc round the county. Not all will be type 2 need to check ocm or other database.

The Rapid Charge Network due to come along A 14 this year to Felixstowe will make most of Norfolk reachable.

We also have some Source East points in the shopping centre car parks at Chapelfield and the Forum, various others dotted about as you said too.

The rapid charges on the a14 are a great addition, just a shame that driving along the road is normally a nightmare!

I only make that trip very early on a Saturday morning now....the slow torture of the a14 on a Friday night too much! Hope the improvements will help.

Another reason why your dealer rapid is so vital though.

Hi Alex Welcome to the site. Only really came over here due to LeafTalk being down.

I live in Norwich and have 2 Leaves or is that Leafs. As Steve said the Rapid at your place could be made card free as the Colchester dealer is. Not sure if I met you the other day when trying to charge. The rapid was broken and the other post trapped my brick. Then I had the timer on. So in the end went back to work and charged through the window. Will look out for you on my next visit.

If you want to generate more interest in EVs you could try hosting an EV meet at your place of work.

Hi Rory,

Yes I think we met the other day, the charger is now cardless and back online! It was the the power cut that caused everything to need a reset, but all is well now and working as it should do.

We do plan to hold an EV event when we recieve our E-NV200 in the next few weeks, I will keep this thread updated with any developments as best as I can. If anyone has any more suggestions then do let me know.

Regards,

Alex
