With a flurry of last-minute sales, we have lots of new owners on here. Welcome!

To avoid lots of new threads and duplications, may I suggest:
  • try reading the owners manual first (it’s also online)
  • look to see if there is a thread answering your question (try a search)
  • give your thread a sensible name, and avoid topic drift

Enjoy your ID.3 :giggle:

Let's be honest. Manuals really addess stable systems, stable functionality and trusted troubleshooting.
This ain't that!
This seems to be software unpredictably corrupting. The only reliable remedy being pull the 12v battery and start again, repeat as necesary until 2.1 appears.

I‘ve seen lots of posts on Facebook regarding range. The people on this forum tend not to be EV newbies, but…

Although the WLTP range is 263 miles, you won’t see that figure displayed very often, if ever. Especially in winter, the displayed range at 100% charge will be much lower, probably just over 200 miles.

this is completely normal, so don’t worry about it!

Excellent video to watch! But note the UK Console Screen has the Home button flipped over to the right side! (finally!!)

This link takes you to a thread where I've tried to capture most of the interesting videos, so there's info about what women think of it, driving in snow, why the efficiency on very short trips is really poor, do you want a car with the heatpump option, etc, a huge amount of wisdom to keep you entertained for hours!
ID.3: Links to Videos all about it, plus Useful Info...

That looks awesome hope you get to have a good drive in it soon we're still in triple figures and most of that was the drive from the dealership!

Looks gorgeous! The same colour I'm going for. Was on my daily walk earlier and walked past a brand-new T-Cross in the Makena Turquoise. Looked great.
I've ordered a Family, with the 19" wheels and the 'silver style' pack in Makena Turquoise, through the work car scheme. We'll have to see if they approve it as I change contract in December but have no intention of changing employer, so just got to get HR to approve!

Hi!
I have my ID3 Pro, v2.0 783 since a week now. Being home charging with the free supplied “granny” charger which has been sufficient for our needs ( lockdown, food shopping...).
it has been an amazing experience ( CarPlay included) so far. We love the car assist feature with caution! and one needs to adjust to the foot pedal even as an experience auto gearbox driver especially in reverse and no , I have not tried if the reversing radar would lock on brake while reversing in our garage!!
There are still some quirks that I hope can be solved in next OTA update! And on that, I wish there was a auto feedback channel to the VW software division ( like we have on software with option to upload a status)!
one must realise that it will take a while before our local VW dealers become savvy on the subject!
Having gorge myself on the youtubers experiences while waiting my delivery, I have been emotionally prepared!!
I have experienced “error” warnings ( yellow) often in the morning after a night charging such as “ windshield??”, system drive train, no internet..etc All these are self resolved by simply exiting the car, locking and unlocking and re- entry!
The “We Connect” app is slow to react and limited. The Bluetooth function in the car drops off sometimes. I have the car linked to the internet in my garage but I look forward for the next software up grade to access to Cubic Telecom which would give me constant internet access. Right now I can do the same with a broadband dongle that I have used in our Campervan!
Tomorrow, the 7kw charger will be installed!
Cheers for now!

Right, I’ve taken the plunge (to replace the i3 which is going back at the end of this month) and put in an order for this deal, which looks pretty good value:

Stonewashed Blue + heat pump (didn’t have a choice on the latter but not going to argue!)

Done a lot of reading of these threads so aware what I might be getting myself into...

You will not regret it! I really enjoy the car. I have the VW wall charger installed and have experienced the public chargers available around! Got a call from VW to bring the car in for the 2.1 software upgrade which will take a few days and got as a courtesy replacement their demo ID 3 “first”.

Hi. I have an ID3 Tour arriving on Monday

Originally put myself down for a 1st edition 18 months or so back, but cancelled around November as need the bigger battery for work and it wasn't available

Anyhow saw the larger battery one on autotrader in stock, and lease was ok, so went for it

Looking forward to getting it, I haven't even seen an Id3 in the flesh, the pics look ok though. I think these only come in one spec?

I have asked a few times to ensure it has the latest software and that's it, chopped in my E Golf for it which wasn't getting any use due to range (700 miles in a year)

So you have a Tour, that is the only model at the moment with the 77kWh battery.
