I have my ID3 Pro, v2.0 783 since a week now. Being home charging with the free supplied “granny” charger which has been sufficient for our needs ( lockdown, food shopping...).
it has been an amazing experience ( CarPlay included) so far. We love the car assist feature with caution! and one needs to adjust to the foot pedal even as an experience auto gearbox driver especially in reverse and no , I have not tried if the reversing radar would lock on brake while reversing in our garage!!
There are still some quirks that I hope can be solved in next OTA update! And on that, I wish there was a auto feedback channel to the VW software division ( like we have on software with option to upload a status)!
one must realise that it will take a while before our local VW dealers become savvy on the subject!
Having gorge myself on the youtubers experiences while waiting my delivery, I have been emotionally prepared!!
I have experienced “error” warnings ( yellow) often in the morning after a night charging such as “ windshield??”, system drive train, no internet..etc All these are self resolved by simply exiting the car, locking and unlocking and re- entry!
The “We Connect” app is slow to react and limited. The Bluetooth function in the car drops off sometimes. I have the car linked to the internet in my garage but I look forward for the next software up grade to access to Cubic Telecom which would give me constant internet access. Right now I can do the same with a broadband dongle that I have used in our Campervan!
Tomorrow, the 7kw charger will be installed!
