My Ampera was the first bought from my Northern Ireland Dealer. Trouble free for 30k. Yesterday noise from the front wheel. Sounded like transmission ? It was the gearbox it had failed and needed new parts. Rebuilt . Anybody else had the same issue ?

Hi there and welcome to SpeakEV.

As mentioned above, if your car is a very early Ampera you may have suffered from the plastic bearing housing failure that affected early cars. The part was upgraded after a few failures came to light so be interesting to know if that has been the case with yours?
