Charge at home + charge at workplace + 50 miles one way commute = any EV on the second hand market can do the job.

Just get a Leaf 24 kWh or stretch to 30 kWh. depending if you want to keep the car very long term and will need to do this until the rest of car is beyond economical repair.

Yep, I did long commutes in my triplet, 20,000+ miles a year in all weathers. If the workplace chargers were fully booked/faulty I used park and rides etc to grab a rapid charge at some point during the day. Now a Leaf24 but WFH so wifey uses it mostly.

One thing to look at is the interest free loans in Scotland - Scotland's Used Electric Vehicle Loan - Energy Saving Trust

Last time I looked it said that loan applications were closed, but can't see that message now so not sure if they have released a new tranche.

Never played with that, does it use real world figures or base its calculations on manufacturers BS?

Real world. I usually manage to do slightly better than its reckoning for my old Leaf 24 - probably because I end up driving slightly slower than it reckons.

Default on ABRP I believe is to set the Battery Degradation to 90%! Ioniqs seem to have very little at all even after 50k miles, early Leafs might have lost more than this perhaps. Caveat experimenter!
