Hil all,

We are about to have the British Gas engineer coming to install the Polar charging point. This is going to be done on the wall of the driveway (not enough space in the garage).

Any advice regarding the location? I read some threads suggesting charging is a noisy process? Is it true? Also any ideas how much time it will take the engineer to do it?

A small amount of a small hammer-drill going at it isn't very disruptive!

Fit it where the leads are convenient to reach and connect, and where there's minimal chance of it being damaged.
Does it come from the box or the car itself?

Time to fit will depend how far from consumer unit etc but probably 2 hours or so.
Many prefer untethered for future proofing but we had ours fitted so the lead would reach with car parked either way round. If possible might be worth putting it close enough to garage to reach car if reversed in too.
good luck

Oh , and before any other smart alec does I will point out that most of the noise charging the Zoe comes when they winch it on the flatbed. ;):p Ouch !
