I’ve had a home Podpoint for the last 2 1/2 years. Our driveway had a wooden/glass ornamental structure attached across the full width of our house and the Podpoint was partially hidden by this structure, however we’ve just had the wooden structure taken down, which exposes the Podpoint a lot more, see attached pic of unit and cable, ignore the two thinner cables in the picture above the main Podpoint cable. The main Podpoint cable comes from the main internal fuse box inside the house and comes out of the house wall, is pinned along the outside wall for about 6 feet, then goes round the corner of the house wall and enters the Podpoint unit.
Can the Podpoint unit be moved back round to near where the cable leaves the house wall, shorten the cable from the connections within the unit, and then reattach the unit to the wall? The Podpoint unit is out of warranty, I presume a normal electrician could do this?

Currently, according to the Pod Point website, the warranty is 3 years, was it less when you had your home charge point installed? It also mentions that the warranty will be void if the Pod Point unit is opened, modified, tampered with or repair is attempted by anyone other than a Pod Point appointed electrician. Probably worth giving them a call on 020 7247 4114.
