I’ve currently ordered a used model 3 through Tesla, and have been waiting almost two weeks for the “contract to be prepared”. Hopefully that happens soon, but they are being less than helpful on the timing.
The M3 SR+ I have reserved is costing £34,700 with 5,000 miles, and I have no idea what condition it’ll be in.
I thought this was a great saving because a new one is listed on their website as £40,490 and as far as I can see, this is net of the £3,000 government grant.
When looking at car reviews, however, the appear to quote the price as £37,490 or the LR model as £43,990. So I’m now confused whether the price shown on the Tesla website is net of the grant or not. The website text suggests to me that it is, but I’m confused by Autocar et al for quoting the pricing being £3k less.
If the pricing on the Tesla website is pre-grant, I’m inclined to cancel my order and go with a new car (despite the longer lead time), as the additional ~£3k will probably be worth it come resale (I’m going to buy it outright).
Any clarification is much appreciated!
