I don't mind the soft road holding and roll of the rear end too much but I have found a way to improve it greatly for no cost.

Returning from a hospital trip my wife spotted some free manure on the side of the road. Nice and cleanly bagged, 'I want that'. She loaded 10 sacks of the stuff (I have never owned a horse but I believe they creat barrow loads of the stuff daily!) and of we went. What an improvement in the handling without too much loss of power.

So there we have it; 120Kg of horse shit. I suppose you could use something odourless.

You could keep a small Shetland pony in the boot and kill two birds with one stone.

It is an EV runs on electricity not methane. But I suppose you could consider it as a range extender so long as there is grass on the long acre.
