Well at least this way they can't blame the charger manufacturer the next time a Kona sets on fire. And there's lots of space in the roof for sprinklers!

Apart from the roof, I don't see what's different from any other charging hub. Good luck to them though, more is better.

Taking their 'pit stop' idea, one thing I was surprised not to see at eg Gridserve, was easy access to air/ water/ vacuum/ screen squeegee while charging. Some people are happy to twiddle their thumbs in the car or go to the shop/ cafe, but others could make good use of the charging time giving the car a proper pit stop.

Think it’s already been mentioned elsewhere in the EV forum but looks like they’re now all at it.

I wonder if Gridserve were aware of the plans of others and jumped on Ecotricity before someone else did. Good to see so much competition but I wish they’d get their butts in gear and get them rolled out rather than just more news articles.

Didnt know that. Good opportunity to vacuum the car whilst you are there. It does make me laugh though that people go to the garage for "air", I just can't believe people own a car and don't have a way to pump up the tyres. Inspires no confidence at all that many people even ever bother to check their tyre pressures.
