Having had the Fob separate from the Key+keyring twice at the dealers on the day I bought my 2019 Ioniq, and then again late at night when the fob landed on the driveway, I decided that Hyundai's design was appallingly bad, and very likely to lose me a fob in next to no time. So I have made a small 3D printed plastic Guard, which slides into the slot in the key, and is clamped tight with a small screw. This is now available for sale on eBay, here:

I hope this item will be of some use to people here! I plan to offer it for sale in the Classifieds here, a bit cheaper as eBay won't be taking 10% of cost+postage as their fee (though Paypal still will!).
I'd be interested in feedback as to exactly which Hyundai cars & what year have this poorly designed fob. They do seem to have quite a variety around the place!
