When buying an ID.3, what are the other benefits included (UK)? I cant seem to find a reliable answers.
It might might be different for the 1st Edition compared to the series models.

1) How much breakdown cover is included? (1 year or 3 years).
2) What is the 1st service interval? (365 days/10K miles or 730 days/20K miles), thereafter annually.
3) How long is the included data plan, e.g for the satnav? (3 years?), thereafter PAYG or use phone as hotspot or go back to TomTom
4) When the data plan expires, do we also loose the ability to do OTA updates?
5) Battery (8 years, 100K miles). Is this just the battery or the power train, including the motor?
6) The 12V battery, I think this is covered only be the standard 3 year, but as we know if it discharges to zero, it can cause permanent damage.

These are well known across the board
7) General mechanical warranty (3 years/60K miles)
8) Body (3 years paint, 12 years corrosion)

Thanks in advance.

From what my salesman said, first service is a big one after 2 years, cost £240. After that it's annually or every 10,000 miles, whichever comes first. He said they hadn't yet been told the cost of these.

Friend of mine also buying ID.3 says he got a figure of £80 p.a. for the "minor" services, this from a dealer in west of England far away from us.

A lot of stuff about exactly what's covered etc must be in the back of the 4th Nov glossy brochure PDF, surely?

Excellent, 3 years breakdown cover.
But my first service is in 1 year/10K miles. According to the Service/Status screen.
Can some owners check their service status on their cars? Is anybody getting 2 years?

That will be down to the pdi at the garage you bought your car from.
There were similar discrepancies with the e-Golf between different dealers and those who complained about the service interval being wrong were able to get it changed.

There still are big differences in the service cost as well. I'd be very surprised if the first service is meant to be £280. On the eGolf we paid around £125 for the first service and £120 for the second. The brake fluid will be changed at year 3 so I'm expecting that to be higher.
VW have said that EVs are easier to service and that the ID range will be cheaper than ice when they unveiled the ID3 last year. The expectation was it would be the same as the eGolf

The dealer this weekend told me that it was every 2 years or 20k miles whichever came first. You'd think it would be easy to have a set figure rather than every dealer/source saying something different. He did tell me however, that VW guarantees the brakes for the lifetime of the car so servicing is more an inspection of batteries than anything. Hopefully that makes it a little cheaper than a standard ICE service.

I was told that was just the rear brakes that they expect will get very little use not the fronts that will get more.

I received a most unexpected benefit with my 1st edition.....
A week after taking delivery, I decided to have a look in the little cubby hole below the boot floor. Besides the expected first aid kit and towing eye etc, there was half a bottle of screenwash (presumably the first half was already in my washer bottle)...... and a litre of VW Longlife 0W-30 engine oil :ROFLMAO:

I can't find any info on a service pack you can buy with the car or within 1 year of it being bought. Every VW I've had in the last 10 years has come with a service pack bought with the car or I've been able to buy one within a year of ownership for a low price (my Polo GTI+ has a £199 service pack for the first 2 services). Seems that VW haven't finalised the scope and price of a service yet.

I was told there won't be a "service pack" for it as it's just an inspection, not really a service. There's nothing to change other than brake fluid (eventually) & pollen filters (when they can talk you into it) Everything else is just checking brake wear and tyre depth as far as I know.

Not sure any service is much more than an ‘inspection’ really, besides an oil change.

The PCP deal on my 1st includes 2 services.
That's a 1st edition thing only. At some point within the next 6 months, VW or the dealerships will have to decide how much a paid for ID3 service will cost. My neighbour has a MK2 Nissan leaf and pays £90 for what is essentially battery health checks, tyre pressure checks, an inspection of the brakes for wear and brake fluid checks, and a look at the underside/suspension. Pretty much a Halfords £25 "Winter check" at dealership rates. Probably has a safety check for bonnet length too .

I checked my 1st edition today, I’m 11635 miles and just over 6 months in to my ownership, and it states 632 days to service?

It’s a mystery! 🤷
