The dealer this weekend told me that it was every 2 years or 20k miles whichever came first. You'd think it would be easy to have a set figure rather than every dealer/source saying something different. He did tell me however, that VW guarantees the brakes for the lifetime of the car so servicing is more an inspection of batteries than anything. Hopefully that makes it a little cheaper than a standard ICE service.

I was told that was just the rear brakes that they expect will get very little use not the fronts that will get more.
