The VW ID.4 is now also being produced in Emden. This means that the ID.4 is now built at the German sites in Zwickau and Emden as well as in the Chinese plants in Anting and Foshan. From autumn this year, production for the US market will start in Chattanooga.

I was poking around my GTX not long after delivery, I was surprised at the diversity of the suppliers looking at all the part number labels in the engine bay.
I imagine those Indian, Eastern Europe, South African and South American suppliers that I found are being geared up to fill as much of the shortfall as possible.
