I’ve not seen much describing the ID3 alarm system.
Does anyone know if you can arm the car but take off internal motion detection? (so you can leave a dog inside).
If so how do you do it?
Any other features of note!?

I can tell you how it works on a BMW, I should imaging they all work the same way! Hopefully.

To deactivate the movement detector on my BMW you have to press the remote button again within 10 seconds of locking the car.

When you stop the ID3 and press park, a screen appears on the infotainment system offering you various options (option to keep the heating on and some other stuff) but among these is the option to turn off interior monitoring (by which I presume they mean the interior alarm sensors). Easy Peasy.

I think the standard way for turning interior monitoring off in a VW is to lock it, and then lock it again.
