TLDR; From the morning of 14th November, it will cost £6 for a 30 minute charge from all our IKEA pumps.

Full email received from Ecotricity today:

"Dear scott,

We’ve noticed that you’ve charged up using one of our pumps at an IKEA store recently, so we just wanted to let you know that from next week these won’t be free to use any more.

Following the changes to the Electric Highway over the summer, we’re bringing our pumps at IKEA stores in line with the rest of the network.

From the morning of 14th November, it will cost £6 for a 30 minute charge from all our IKEA pumps.

In order to continue encouraging customers to use sustainable modes of transport, IKEA will be running a promotion for their customers who charge at one of their stores. From 14 November 2016 you can receive a £6 discount on your in store purchase made on the same day as your charge by simply showing your email payment receipt at the IKEA checkout, subject to IKEA terms and conditions.

For more information about this, please visit the IKEA website.

Thanks for being with us.

The Electric Highway Team"

I wonder if this will also be valid for £6 off in the café.
Seems unlikely or you'll just get a £6 discount for food then another for your shelves. For that matter what's to stop a family splitting up at the checkout and each taking part of the purchases through a different till?

Sounds like an excellent idea though if they've really had those taxi drivers all moving in like vultures (with apologies to any vultures I just insulted).
