I thought I would share my mobile phone set up.

I'm using a Mous wireless charging pad that is stuck back to a Brodit clip.

My phone then sits in a Mous case which magnetically docks to the charging pad.

Power is supplied via a short usb lead into the very conveniently placed 12 volt socket.

Charging rate is very good with enough power to run android auto and top the phone up.

I've used this setup on my other cars but I think this works on the i3 really well. In effect your gaining a lower android auto screen that looks seamless with the car layout 馃憤

Its a nice neat charging solution but it does seem likely that it is going to distract from looking at the road and it could get you into deep trouble if you were to have an accident.

Its function whilst docked is primarily for charging it. With it automatically starting up the android auto it's totally hands free. Android Auto is designed for safe driving that minimises touching the phone screen. Its really good. No different to a Tesla or even Polestar 2 which both have a central display that goes deep.
