I took out a 28kWh Ioniq yesterday for two hours (loved the drive and got around 95 miles with heavy feet often bursting to a little er more then sitting at 70 so 38kWh should easily give 150 -170 miles real world I reckon, would have done more but let down by Ecotricity at ferry bridge Svs on m62 🤬) as new Ioniq not available for test yet in local dealer.

Going to be placing my order on Thursday for Ioniq prem S.E intense blue (told delivery would be April 2020) via civilian Motability scheme but I get mine via my forces Disabled war pension With advance of £143 plus some of my war pension (about £250 a month, insurance and servicing included). I am also coming back from the dark side from a RAV4 hybrid. Had 24kWh leaf until April 2017, then B-Class electric which was a cluster fudge of useless from merc slain with tech probs ended in July 2017 handing it back and ending up in the Rav 4 as they had no other electric cars on the scheme then. Wife did have a ZOE as well so we didn’t go totally over to the dark side! Good to be back in an EV again.
‘just placed the order today, decided against the intense blue with delivery in April and gone for a Phantom Black prem S.E due into UK on 26th Jan so a good 2 to 3 months earlier which is great.

I chased up Leasing Options this morning and they had been sent a spreadsheet this morning from their dealer. I ordered on 24th October 2019 and was previously informed that it was going to be the 14th February 2020. They are now saying it will be the 1st week of March and it's going into build next week. I'm not impressed at all. I need to sell my current vehicle by 14th March as I will need to get it serviced and MOT'd after that. Its cutting it rather fine.

Interestingly this is not a EUKOR ship but another chap on the Ioniq forum had the same ship arrival date as me and asked his dealer for the ship name. The ship is due in 23 Jan so it will be a few weeks after that for delivery.

You could track each ship on their site to find any others headed towards the UK

Answers in this thread somewhere, worth a search. I’ve erased the process from my limited memory now my car is on uk soil 👍

www.eukor.com type in Ulsan as the departing port and Tilbury, UK as the arrival port. Not many showing up on there at the moment.

That's strange I had contact with dealer which my lease company deals with on. 24/10 and he was placing the order that day. He originally quoted delivery to UK in mid December but when I spoke to him a week before Xmas he told me I would likely get the car in February. He said my car had bee built but was awaiting shipping. So if you ordered your car the same day I would have thought it would have been built already. Well for me the delay has saved me a bit of BIK tax

The ship Don Pasquale has just left Ulsan bound for Tilbury, arriving 16/02. If you have a date at dealer of end Feb, then your car is probably on that boat

I've just got an email from my dealer saying "your vehicle is due to dock in the UK on the 23rd of this month and then it will be transported to us when a delivery transporter is available." I ordered an Ioniq Electric Premium SE in Fiery Red on 11 October 2019

So many different dates flying around it's hard to make sense of them now. You ordered a bit later than I did, but it looks like you'll be getting it almost a month sooner. I am guessing my supplier (Holdcroft) are prioritising direct sales rather than leased vehicles through their fleet division.

What do they do to the cars after the ship docks? What takes so long?
IroniqEV said " I read that port to dealer time is two weeks".
My car is in the UK, having arrived on the Morning Lily, and is in the process of being registered etc. with the dealership!
ScouseSandwich, Have you got your car yet?

Bjørn making some interesting points which you can also test yourself using ABRP... if you do mostly shorter journeys, the classic Ioniq is still great, if you do lots of medium distance journeys beyond the range of the classic, then the new version is good, but if you do long trips where charging stops are needed the advantage can actually swing back to the classic model because of its superior charging speeds.

I’m increasingly thinking a classic Ioniq is a bit of a used bargain at £20k - particularly as it will just get better as more 100+ kW chargers re installed.
