The center console may have the original configuration (my '69 38 kWh still does) which lets you lay out the items in up to 3 sections. I like this, most users seem to, but H did an "upgrade" to satnav/infotainment/something about a year ago, and re-did the whole thing with what are apparently less nice icons, and only 2 screen sections. Something like that. So don't get too fixated on the precise layout & appearance, it may change! I haven't seen the new one. Others on Ioniqforum.com may be able to advise, lots of info there.

You may notice a fair bit of road noise at higher speed (70+), seems there's zero sound control inside the doors, and sticking sound-absorbent matting inside does wonders! I intend to do this to mine. But it's still quieter than any ICE.

I would hazard a guess that this car's the same vintage as mine, and 100% certain to be in the battery recall group, so be prepared to restrict charging to 90% SOC on AC & DC, i.e. appx 20 miles less on the (pretty accurate) GOM. Otoh we get some credit on the Charge MyHuundai app, to offset the misery! :). And in a year of so, a new battery!! :):)

The only real complaint I have is that the satnav is useless at planning & following cross-country shortest-route trips. It really, really wants to use motorways & A roads, even if told to avoid Motorways. It will offer a fastest & a shortest route, but these are usually almost identical.

Maybe it will improve when I get my infotainment updated at service-time, and the satnav maps updated, but in the meantime I've bought myself a Mio satnav & made a holder that sits in the Qi phone-charger pocket to hold it.

Minor gripe for some is it likes bonging at you until seatbelt is fastened. If this bothers you, tip is to fasten belt before powering up.

Also watch out selecting Reverse after having moved forwards, e.g when parking. Once or twice I've pressed the "R" button (I thought), only to have the car inch forwards unexpectedly! This never happens in Ampera, which has traditional-style automatic shift-stick, so there's no doubt whatever what gear you're in. Did I press the "R" button for too short a period? Did I press it too lightly? Did I press it while car was still moving forwards and not yet at a complete halt so not allowing R to be selected while moving? Dunno, haven't analysed this yet, but I now hold the R button down until I feel it moving backwards, problem solved.

Oh, and you may spin the inside front wheel at 5mph on a sharp turn out of the dealer's entrance! Don't worry about that, it just happens, you learn not to floor it at super-slow speeds on a bend! :)

If you're looking for a load-lugger, MG5 looks better! considering that it has 40 miles more range around town, but only 15 more on sunny motorway, you'll appreciate it has the aerodynamics of a brick, in comparison! And headwinds will affect it more than the Ioniq.
