here's a list of questions they answered from the preview event that I thought it was worth writing down:
WLTP 268 miles
heated steering wheel as standard on 45
heated / cooled front seats as standard on 45
no solar on normal model
no electric rear seats on normal
no flush door handles on normal model (I think)
ambient sounds like the Tucson
no usb c
992mm headroom in the back
no wireless android auto / carplay
pre-wired tow bar, not fitted though (price tba)

Some things we discovered:
Presentation quality wasn't great - low quality stream and lots of pauses.
LKA cannot be disabled
VESS cannot be disabled
Solar roof and movable rear seats will be exclusive to 45 - not available in any other configuration
45 configuration is fixed - no ability to swap to sunroof for example
Supports driver profiles
Presenting door handles will be an option(!)
No OTA firmware updates. Only Maps "later... Q3 maybe"
First deliveries expected June/July
Pre-wired for towing, but hardware is an optional extra

The stream was annoyingly SD, Zoom said like 640x300-something, when it goes up on youtube on friday I expect it'll be 1080.

I think Sylvia may have mixed her numbers a bit. Mentioned 527 litres for boot capacity but brochure and then the on screen graphic she showed were 531 litres.
And I am hoping the WLTP range for the "45" is 286 miles and not 268 miles as she quoted as that seems a bit low for a 72kWh EV (especially a Hyundai EV) and may mean a motorway journey at almost 70mph would be under 200 miles which would not be good for a Hyundai at this price with this sized battery.
Pleased, if I do go for it, that I have chosen the light interior, as the dark interior was like a proverbial coal cellar! With closed off roof as well due to the gimmicky solar panels it will be a very dark place to be! She seemed to say that that the pano roof not available in the UK but as before, available in just about all other markets. Why do they do this?? WIll come eventually but may take 2-3 years. Don't they realise how useful a pano roof is? Especially on an EV. Not just for light but warms the car even on winter days even if relatively not that sunny. Less need for heater, thus increases range! No need for heavy solar panels. I do get it that the 45 is a technical tour de force which is why the solar roof is included but then why USB A instead of USB-C (just one each would have been good) and no wireless Apple CP/Android Auto, and no OTA updates....
I NEVER EVER trust that this or that feature will "come later on" as it often does not and often does not work as well as when it is hard baked in to the car from the beginning. A real shame and way behind Tesla.
Also the bezels on the drivers displays are massive but this is a cosmetic issue and not a real issue.
No news on servicing regime/pricing. Heat pump as standard?
It is a nice car but rather blowing smoke up their own backsides a bit. Like they had re-invented the wheel or something!

Yeh that range needs clarified. Seems very low. I do think the solar roof is pretty cool. Every car has a pano roof these days! I don’t think the driver display they showed is the one in the 45. Lower spec car so smaller screen perhaps? But then she did say this was a ‘regular’ top spec on display.

And will be a talking point and possible selling point in the future, but no real tech info about them -eg- power, efficiency and what they power exactly? The screens, heater or EV battery ? etc. How much weight do they add?
I will be very happy to be proved wrong but fear they will be a gimmick as in not that useful or add much energy. Especially here in the UK.

Attended on virtual Zoom presentation this afternoon. To be honest It was dreadful, very disappointed.

There were 3 presenters. The event was introduced by someone with a dreadful US accent, and the presentation itself was by a tech manager from Hyundai whose English was not her first language, and a professional car program presenter who gave it the full marketing BS. The Q&A session seemed like pre-prepared questions (e.g. do my golf clubs fit in the boot? Answer: we just happen to have a full set of clubs here, lets see.....). I got the feeling that the session I attended was simply a replay of a previous session and not live at all - e.g. the clock in the car showed 3:15 and the actual time was 4:15! No information on ordering, availability and pricing, simply told this is to follow soon.
I lasted fifteen minutes before I gave up. Cringeworthy. James Bachelor‘s presentation skills were ok but from others delivery was poor, stumbling over lines. I’ll wait unti I can test drive one although if there’s no sunroof option in the UK I won’t bother.
My biggest concern now is the range.
If the car can achieve close to the WLTP then it'll be fine. But if the real world difference is as big as for other cars with a similar WLTP then it feels like the ball has been dropped.

That was the final straw for me, I have just cancelled my reservation and requested a refund, too many concerns, No firm information on final Spec, Range, etc. Price now an issue, did I really want to be Beta tester for this car after all that Hyundai have shared with us up to know. Saying that I do still think this will be a brilliant car and hope everybody enjoys their car when it arrives, its just not for me anymore.
they confirmed today that for other than map updates, the car software will require dealer visits on an ongoing basis. Map OTA updates will come later after an initial dealer update.
