The thinking behind higher equivalent per kWh cost for faster charger is simple: if you want speed, you have to pay for it.
I think Fastned look at it differently they look a throughput and although faster chargers are more expensive more kWh's are sold per unit of time.

As the best locations will have a high land costs, (more so if a roof is provided as well) , then clearly the throughout becomes the key factor for profit. This is very different then a charging network who pay a minimum rent to gyms/pubs/etc to site one or two chargers on a site where the grid connection is cheap.

I see the market splitting between very fast chargers at prime locations with a price to match and 50kw chargers at locations people with to stop at for an hour.
