iphone / music playing after car shut down

HI,

Not sure if I'm not doing something properly but here goes. I'm driving along, park up whilst listening to music on my iphone through the USB connector. After I park up and switch the car off, the stereo keeps playing until I actually power it off.. I was expecting it to act like a normal car key - e.g. ignition off, electrics off - or have I mis-understood it?

It will carry on until you open the car door to get out, to allow you to listen to music in the car without having to have the whole thing powered up

I think after about 15 minutes it turns it off regardless, to make sure you didn't accidentally leave it on overnight somehow.

ah - cool. So when you shut the door + lock it switches it off?

As soon as I open the door, the radio shuts off. I have the Positiv version, which has quite a different set-up to the Electron, so if you have an Electron yours may behave differently. I'd just try it and see

Mine does the same. Even when you power down the radio still plays until you open the door. Worried me at first.

Same if you are on a Bluetooth phone call, it doesn't disconnect if you power down, which is handy. If you open door - goodbye call.
