I signed up for Octopus in the end using Paul M referral link (Due to him making a donation to a charity of my choice). I then went to the Ohme website and ordered the charger at £199 for Octopus customers. Just one question, will the Ohme charger still work if I change energy suppliers at some point in the future? Or is it locked to Octopus? Also is the Ohme charger totally controlled by an app, or is there is manual override button on the charger to initiate a charge if I loose my phone etc?

It's completely 'Ohme'. It can't tell the Octopus electrons are purply coloured (if you have ever noticed?!)

The Ohme will work with any provider if you change in the future. If you loose your phone then the charger will default to a full charge on the cheapest rate it can. I rarely use the app, we just tend to plug the car in and as if by magic it starts charging then the cheap rate on Go kicks in.
