Doesn't sound good to me, have you looked at lease only.. If you intend to return the car after 24 months then a lease deal is normally cheaper.. when I was looking I recall a 3 + 23 deal of around £275 for 12000 miles.. works out loads cheaper due to much smaller deposit oh and gap insurance can be had online for around £120..
So that's £4K + 24 * £249 = £10000 more or less, for two years motoring and nothing at the end of it.
Mmm, I'm inclined to say that's not a good deal. When you can buy a pre-reg for about £16K, maybe £18K to get the 6.6 charger. After 2 years and 20,000 miles I think you should be able to flog your pre-reg privately for more than £6000, probably £8000 ... so even stevens and no need to deal with RCI.
If you don't want brand new there are ex demo ones about as well. I bought an Acenta ex demo a year ago for £12k looks like I would get at least £10k now so that £10k over two years seems a lot. I also lease an I3 REX from fleetdrive at £275/month total about £8k over two years with deposit. If you are not in a hurry then a lot of bargains are about. At certain times of the year dealers are "incentivised" to shift stock so worth looking around.
I had a quote this month, 30kWh, 3.6kW Tekna, 12000 miles PA, £1000 deposit, 36 months at £258 and still room for haggling. Kia Soul EV works out even cheaper.
I also found a Kia Soul deal at a great price, 3 + 23 at £250 month... Bargain.. But I went for the new i3 in the end, 3 + 23 at £265 & I'm getting around 140 miles to a charge so far Don't give up, if you put the effort in online there are great deals to be had, just have to keep at it till you find one ..
Hi Richard mills, I got the i3 from rybrook BMW in Warwick on a lease NOT pcp.. I got the deal 3 months ago so not sure if they still doing it at the price I got but worth a try, ask for Richard dean in i sales & say Richard Dudley recommended you to him
