Can't do any good with that, however I have now got a VIN and an order number now from my dealer!

So, I've just been informed that my car has docked (so I can stop tracking random ships on the high seas at least), so that's 12 weeks from when I got my VIN if that helps you work out a possible delivery date for yours.
For me it's going to have been around 25 weeks from order to delivery, but of course there are so many variables to take into account I can't imagine any 2 orders are going to be the same.
Anyway, good luck with yours, I hope it comes sooner rather than later.

I've had a reply from BMW Support, it seems the VIN the dealer gave me was one character out a 5 instead of an S!
The online chat reappeared this morning so I have now found out that the car is built and in transit from the factory to the port. Apparently the online chat with your VIN is the only way of tracking what's happening!
I ordered 13th January so it's now been 23 weeks today!
