Anyone using a SMART PRO home charger?

Mine was installed Monday, used this afternoon for 10 mins then shut down. Fuse hasnt tripped but there’s no power at all to the unit.

Anyone know if there’s a way to reset the unit itself?

Presumably it's connected back to your CU, either the main one, or a separate mini one? These should have an RCB or RCBO dedicated to protecting the EVSE, and that may need resetting. EVSEs generally don't have their own on/off switch, but there can be a RCBO/RCB inside. If so, should be a flap to access it for regular testing etc.

Were you charging at 32A (7kW) ? The first time I did on my EVSE, it ran for 20 mins then cutout, and had to be reset at the CU. I investigated his, and found that RCBs/RCBOs rated at 32A actually derate a bit as they warm up (which is normal behaviour, that's how they work). My car was drawing 31.5A, and after 20 mins the RCB derated to less than this current, and tripped. I swapped it for a 40A version and haven't looked back.

Yup, that GK32 item is the problem I'd say.
Garo are a reputable, quality item & not expensive. Problem with screwfix & other stuff on eBay is you often cannot tell who made it! There have been a lot of failures od Rolec-branded RCBOs for eg, and these are just cheap & nasty things. I'd strongly suggest you stick with a Garo, esp as that's what's in there at the mo' and a lot of sparkies like to stick to one type as it all looks neater! These things get a lot of use, at high currents for long periods, don't skimp by getting a cheap thing - you'll only regret it later.

Yes you can replace it yourself. Garo have a slighter higher tightening torque on the screws than other makes, but make sure it's really screwed tightly. Sadly torque screwdrivers are not cheap - Draper probably about the best value for money?

I think thats it - having reset both trip switches on the new unit they are both showing red when reset. Assume i can get a new fuse and fit myself (screwfix etc)? See photo
Not sure how happy the Electricity supplier is going to be when they come to fit a smart meter at some point, there's no room above your meter in its current location for the communication module.

Why are you fixing this yourself? If you bought this with the benefits of an OLEV grant the installer is contracted for a three year on-site repair guarantee of the whole installation.
