I assume you've changed the battery in the fob? May be preserving operation at low battery so it still manually unlocks.

Anyone any thoughts;
My keyless entry driver's door handle open and lock sensors have stopped working, key fob buttons and passenger door and ignition all work fine. ? ????

Don't know how much/little use vehicle getting during lockdown, but "keyless" function one of the first to go down when 12V battery in low state of charge.My keyless entry driver's door handle open and lock sensors have stopped working, key fob buttons and passenger door and ignition all work fine. ? ????
Had this problem with my Mk8. Dealer did a software update. I few weeks later it started playing up again. After a few days it appeared to cure itself. Go figure.
Does anyone know if the keyless door handles are "plug & play" ? ie swap the handle assembly for one with a working sensor and the system should work again ?
Fyi, swapped the handle, all working fine now.
