Just had a good look on the website link, looks really nice.
I might have missed it, is there any indication of U.K. pricing yet?

Thank you for flagging. My reservation message had gone to my junk folder (although I had the "deposit" receipt) and for a reservation 7 days after yours does not mention the "exclusive window" and is as such:I put deposit down on 4th April and received email confirmation that day from Kia. Also have my eyes on the GT-line, possibly with four wheel drive. I’ve had a further email saying the order window opens end of April for reservation holders.
Thank you for reserving your Kia EV6
The exclusive window to place an order for your EV6 is due to open at the end of April, so in the meantime why not get to know our revolutionary new car a little more?
re OTA, the Ioniq 5 has been confirmed as maps only and post launch, with car software requiring a dealer visit. big disappointment. Thanks for starting this thread @WarwickBoy . I made my reservation on 16th April. If those prices prove accurate and there are no nasty surprises I will likely go for the long range AWD GT-line. From pictures and videos I've seen I prefer the EV6 over the sister Ioniq 5 but would like to see them both in the flesh.
A few things I'd like clarification on are:
Expect details will start trickling out and we will be able to see reviews in coming months.
- Can you have a sun roof and if not is it very dark in the cabin?
- What does the charge rate curve look like and what is the real world charge speeds on more common 50 and 150 Kw chargers?
- What's the gen on over the air updates - will that be available at launch, offered later at additional cost, will it support new software features or just map updates?
- What regular sound system is like and how much the 15 speaker meridian upgrade costs
- Additional costs for things like paint choice and tow bar preparation
- Service intervals and costs
- Insurance costs
- Do all cables come with car (granny, fast charger cable that supports the 11kW rate, necessary cables and connectors for V2L)
All the information I have seen on the availability of the top performance model is aligned to the AutoExpress article "First deliveries for the 577bhp Kia EV6 GT aren’t expected until October 2022. "I put my UK reservation down on 2nd April and got confirmation on the same day. Trouble is, I want a GT and I've heard they won’t be delivering any GT's until 2022. This throws a major spanner in the works because the new ULEZ Expansion Zone for London comes into force in October and I need an EV by then or else I'll be paying through the nose every time I leave the house and drive, well, pretty much anywhere.
If anyone can shed any light on the likely delivery dates that'd be great.
I speculate that at the next stage of the process, placing an order will require a more significant deposit (say £1000), will require you to select a detailed specification and will also allow for a "no quibble" cancellation (i.e. no need to give a reason). This was the case for Kia e-Niro orders. If you did not want to go ahead by the time your car was ready, you could cancel and get a full deposit refund (in this case it was £1000). Not something I'm planning to do, but if there are no test drive models ahead of the order timeframe this gives flexibility and re-assurance so if you find the car is really not for you post test drive you can cancel the order.I have also put in an order reservation. Is it naive to assume that test drive models will be available in May when the ordering process kicks off? I am not going to order a car I've never driven.
Thanks, that is very useful info. EV6 is in my top 3 at the moment so might be willing to put down a deposit if fully refundable. Main worry is that deliveries will slip into next year for AWD models.I speculate that at the next stage of the process, placing an order will require a more significant deposit (say £1000), will require you to select a detailed specification and will also allow for a "no quibble" cancellation (i.e. no need to give a reason). I've not heard of that but it could be an option, thanks. All the information I have seen on the availability of the top performance model is aligned to the AutoExpress article "First deliveries for the 577bhp Kia EV6 GT aren’t expected until October 2022. "
You could go for a monthly flexible EV hire options from October to when your Kia EV6 is ready. All-Inclusive Electric Car Subscriptions | Onto look to have a good range of cars and only have a 1-month commitment.
