I've been told my e-niro will be arriving around June this year but I'm getting somewhat worried by reports of this untraceable, flat 12v battery fault which renders the car useless until the 12v battery receives a charge. I'm interested to find out just how many people are experiencing this issue. Obviously, not a very scientific poll but result might be interesting. Thanks for participating. (y)

@Gary J , I think this is a bit pointless poll. Most of EV owners are not on any forum / people who don't have problems with 12V battery are not too interested those problems either. You will not get any meaningful results.

If you ever do this kind of faults you will be able to read experience of others on this forum.

Hopefully you will never have that problem. Even if you do then it won't happen immediately either. Maybe in 1 year from now there will be a clear evidence / solution to those problems.

Have just experienced this problem, Sat 22/8/20, after 8 weeks of E-Niro (Brand new) ownership. Called RAC & had to wait 2.5 hours for man to arrive. When he did he was stumped, consulted his in van laptop, phoned a friend, consulted my owners manual & resorted to Google. Eventually connected battery booster to auxiliary battery & car switched on & has been fine since. Going to Kia main dealer next week for their one and only trained Master Technician to look at 馃

It has been suggested that some 12 volt batteries have been allowed to go flat on the long voyage to the UK and this makes it difficult for the 12 volt to recover. I put an intelligent charger on mine and it took quite a bit of charge. Absolutely no problems since.

The Uvo app appears to give you a reading of the battery and before I drove mine away from the dealer's initially it was showing yellow. It's been showing green ever since though
