Owners of the 30 kWh Leaf might want to check page 2 of their warranty booklet. Mine has a label stuck in it incorrectly showing the 24 kWh battery warranty (5 years/60k miles) rather than the improved 30 kWh wording (8 years/100k miles). Mine has been wrong for two years and today, when I took it in for it's second service, I mentioned it again. The chap I dealt with was in charge of warranty work for the large dealership in question and he took a lot of persuading that there had been an error. After I showed him a screen shot that I had saved from Nissan GB's web site he conceded my point and gave me a print out that I have inserted in the booklet. Worth checking for the long-term.

They are all like this, it's a known thing that's been that way since they were first produced.

The reason is that the manual quotes the High Voltage System warranty, which is still only 5 years. It is only the battery that has the 8 year warranty.
